The leader of the “popular Front” Arseniy Yatsenyuk in favour of reducing the number of MPs to 300.

However, he advocates that the people’s representatives could become members of the Cabinet of Ministers. This is practised in particular in Germany and Britain. Yatsenyuk stressed that this will enable government bills easier and faster to pass in Parliament.
The complete abolition of parliamentary immunity of the leader of the popular front said: “We offer to provide the possibility of arrest and detention of the MP without the consent of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine during or immediately after committing a grave or especially grave crime. However, political activity and political position of people’s Deputy of Ukraine must be protected.”

So, Yatseniuk proposes to introduce the institution of the prefect instead of regional and district state administrations. The prefects shall be appointed by the President on the recommendation of the Cabinet. They will supervise the observance of the law.
