Any pressure on Putin is a very good – said Denisov.

Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova called on the EU ambassadors to appeal to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin that he freed political prisoners that are held in Russia and the occupied Crimea.

She declared on one of Ukrainian TV channels, writes “UKRINFORM”.

“On the eve of the summit “Ukraine-EU” I did today (2 July – ed.) to ambassadors and urged them so they turned to Russian President Putin that he has fulfilled a humanitarian mission and released our political prisoners being held in Russia and the temporarily occupied Crimea” – said the representative of BP on human rights.

“Any pressure on Putin is a very good and still will bring the opportunity for our political prisoners to be home,” – said Denisov.

Ukrainian Ombudsman noted that during the meeting with the EU ambassadors said that despite the agreements that were reached between President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Putin, the Russian side disrupted these arrangements.
