Militants more than two dozen times fired at positions of the Ukrainian army.
For Monday, August 20, on the front lines in the Donbas the militants have committed 23 attack of the Ukrainian positions, including with the use of forbidden heavy weapons.
“Russian occupation troops were aimed fire from rocket-propelled grenades, heavy machine guns and small arms, and in some areas from 82-mm mortars. Enemy shelling was carried out by the defenders of the Crimean, Svetlodarsk, Popasnaya, Marinka, Gnutovo, Pavlopol, Lebedinsky, Water, Shirokino. Near the source the enemy used against our defenders 82-mm mortars. Also, the occupants were fired from 120-mm mortars surroundings of the village new Lugansk”, – stated in the summary of the press center of the joint forces.
As a result of attacks, two Ukrainian soldiers were injured.
For Tuesday, from midnight until seven in the morning, militants from APCS and heavy machine guns twice fired at the Ukrainian positions in the area of Lebedinsky and Water. Losses among the personnel of the joint forces during these days is not.
According to the Ukrainian intelligence, three militants were killed and two were wounded.
“The situation in the area of operations of the combined forces was tense, but remained completely controlled,” – says the press center.
