Scandalous formula “Rotterdam+”. The national Commission, carrying out state regulation in spheres of power and utilities, did not abolish the method of formation of prices for coal, which, according to experts, is stripped from the pockets of consumers in excess of about 12 billion hryvnia per year.
This is stated in the plot of TSN.19:30.
Despite the recently spread information about the intention of the national Commission to change the rules of the game, at this meeting, this did not happen. As a consequence, another year the price of coal will be considered as if it came from the Netherlands. Accordingly, the cost of electricity also will be greater, and the benefits from this will go to a private company DTEK.

Why the Commission does not negate the formula at the meeting asked the experts and people’s deputies. The Commission claims not to interfere because he is afraid that with the abolition of the “Rotterdam+” uncontrolled prices can go up.
“If you cancel this formula, is the uncontrolled growth of prices on the wholesale market, because the cost of coal at the mines is much higher than today”, – said the Chairman NKREKU Oksana Krivenko.
