A resident of Makeyevka, which fought on the side of Russia against the Ukrainian army, was sentenced to eight years behind bars.

This writes the Prosecutor’s office of Donetsk region.

“36-year-old man in illegal armed groups of the terrorist organization “DNR” participated in hostilities against the Armed forces of Ukraine”, – stated in the message.

In September 2015 a man together with his wife and children lived on the Ukrainian government controlled territory of the Donetsk region in the village Prechystivka the Maryinsky area, but moved to the occupied territory.

To gain “easy money” he arrived to the military Commissariat of the so-called Ministry of defence of the terrorist organization “DNR”. He enlisted in company a of the radiation, chemical and biological protection of the 9th regiment of the 1st Army corps of “DNR”.
