MPs complain that the judges of the constitutional court of blackmail beat themselves exorbitant salaries

Record wages in Ukraine expect the judges of the constitutional court. All day today MPs debated whether to accept the relevant law, and in the end rejected it. However, inherent positions may revive in a new bill shortly, says the story TSN.19:30.

The new law says the salary of 75 minimum. That’s 120 thousand hryvnias. But that’s not all. For judges of the constitutional court will operate a special factor, that is, wages increase by just half. Therefore, the salary will be 180 thousand hryvnias. Same here plus allowance for seniority up to 72 thousand hryvnias, and for scientific degree – 36 thousand. All together – 288 thousand hryvnias.

The same amount of judges will pay holiday pay. And their pension will amount to 230 thousand hryvnias. The average salary in Ukraine is UAH 6475 and she is 45 times less than that which want to have constitutional judges.

Such generosity at taxpayer expense angered some MPs. Former Finance Minister Viktor Pynzenyk, who is not the first time exposes the attempts by officials to unduly raise their own salaries, calls them immoral.

“In addition, it provides rules regarding the free service housing. Almost four million wages a year so buy a house! It is neither moral or an economic point of view may not be such a range of wages, and we are talking about the officials,” – said Pinzenyk.

Such astronomical salaries of the constitutional judges, according to deputies, squeezed out of them by blackmail. Just blocking the consideration of their complaints concerning the constitutionality of laws. And to this blackmail, they say, yielded some members of the relevant Committee of Parliament.

“In KS is about 75 citizens’ complaints on the constitutionality of laws. However, the judges of the constitutional court refuse to consider them, making the Parliament hostage until a law has been voted with those sky-high compensation. In fact, it is blackmail”, – said Ruslan sydorovych.
