The Ukrainian foreign Ministry demands immediate release of detained Crimean Tatars in the occupied Peninsula

The Ukrainian foreign Ministry outraged by the continuous increasing of the Russian occupying authorities on the practice of political repression and persecution against ethnic communities, in particular the Crimean Tatars.

This is stated in the commentary of the MFA of Ukraine.

“We consider such actions as elements of strengthening of the policy of intimidation that the Russian occupation authorities consistently pursued with the aim of destroying dissent and opposition to the illegal occupation. The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses its decisive protest in connection with another facts of human rights violations and demands from the Russian side to immediately release the detainees. Encourage international partners to increase pressure on the Russian Federation to end political persecution and other human rights violations in the occupied Crimea”, – stated Ukrainian diplomats.
