The Cabinet decided to release the prices of the products and to abolish state regulation
After the experiment in Ukraine from July 1 to completely abolish government regulation for socially important food products.
The corresponding decree №394 of the Cabinet of Ministers adopted on June 7, transfer “Ukrainian news”.
Supersede state regulation to reduce adrendaline on business, eliminate excessive state intervention in economic processes, for the development of competition, as well as debureaucratization (deregulation) in the area of pricing.
Officials hope that the decision will simplify the procedure of changing prices depending on the price fluctuations of the market, and this in turn will enable manufacturers to respond faster to market shifts.
The decree also abolished norm, when the producers of foodstuffs were required to submit to the state foods and consumer service rationale for changes in wholesale prices for their products.
Cancelled the order of formation of prices for food products, which was approved in 2008.
The effect of regulations apply to limit trade margins of the wholesale price of the manufacturer of flour, bread, pasta, cereals, sugar, beef, pork and poultry meat, boiled sausages, milk, cheese, sour cream, butter, sunflower oil, chicken eggs no more than 15% and at maximum profitability levels and trade margins on baby food, limiting the size of fees for services provided in the shopping centers, markets for the sale of food and nonfood items, limit levels of prices, standards of profitability (in an amount not above 20%) for the lease of commercial premises (areas) of commercial, technological and/or refrigeration equipment in trade objects, markets selling food and non-food items.
Recall the experiment of the abolition of state regulation of prices for food in Ukraine, introduced on 1 October last year. Over the last month prices have increased for 6 of the 10 products, the cost of which was watched by the journalists of TSN.
