Inflation in Ukraine in may greatly accelerated

Inflation in Ukraine in may compared to April, accelerated to 1.3% (from 0.9% in April than in March).

This was reported on the website of the State statistics service of Ukraine, UNIAN reports.

Meanwhile, in annual terms compared to may 2016 inflation accelerated to 13.5% from 12.2% yoy a month earlier.

With the beginning of the year compared with the December 2016 consumer prices in Ukraine grew by 6.2%.

We will remind, the national Bank of Ukraine has recorded that inflation in may in annual terms has accelerated in line with the April forecasts. In particular, the acceleration of inflation due to higher prices of raw products and higher rates for administratively-regulated services.

At the same time, gradually increased consumer demand. So, according to the NBU, an increase of the real wages of the population, including by raising the minimum wage from the beginning of the year.
