The commitment of America, and a meeting with the young reformers: the details of the visit of U.S. Secretary of state to Ukraine

U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson will arrive on an official visit to Kiev Sunday, July 9, during which he will hold meetings with country’s leadership, as well as representatives of companies.

This is stated in the official press-Secretary of the U.S. Department of State Heather Nauert, writes UKRINFORM.

“The Secretary of state Tillerson will make his first official visit to Kiev (Ukraine) on 9 July, where he will meet with President Poroshenko and the young reformers out of the government and civil society”, – reads the statement.

It is also reported that it “confirms the commitment of America’s sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and at the same time will encourage the government of Ukraine to continue implementing reforms aimed at strengthening economic, political and military stability of Ukraine.”

Rex Tillerson will arrive in Ukraine from Germany, where he will accompany the President of the United States Donald trump during the G20 summit.

After a stay in Ukraine, the head of the American foreign Minister will go to Turkey.

Recall that earlier Poroshenko confirmed date of arrival Tillerson. The politicians will discuss the issues of strengthening of strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States and continue coordination of efforts at countering Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Also, as previously reported, during the visit Tillerson in Kiev “will continue our work in Washington.”

Note, this month is expected to visit the UN Secretary General Antonio Gutteres and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

In addition, the President announced a visit to Ukraine in August, US Secretary of energy, Rick Perry, and in the coming months also visit of U.S. Secretary of defense James Metts.
