Sniffer dogs found probable place of death of the famous female pilot Earhart
On a desert island-Atoll Nickumaroro specially trained dogs, which were brought here found a placewhere, presumably, died a famous aviatrix Amelia Earhart.
It is reported by National Geographic.
1937 the world’s first woman who flew across the Atlantic, Amelia Earhart, tried to set a new record to circumnavigate the globe by plane Lockheed 10 Electra. She went missing July 2, 1937.
The search for the pilots lasted from 1937 to 1939. 1940 on a desert island-Atoll Nickumaroro were found with her skeleton. But soon he was lost, so now scientists based only on his pictures and description.
“Such extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, such as a bone or DNA. That’s why the dogs were brought to the island in hopes of finding such evidence,” explained one of the researchers.
As indicated in the source, a dog named Berkeley went near the tree ginseng, showing that he found the place with the smell of human remains. The next day the same place was discovered the dog Kylie. The other two dogs also confirmed that the skeleton was precisely under this tree.
However, the researchers did not find human bones. They sent soil samples to the lab, where you can get human DNA, but has not yet received results.
Earlier, in the Turkish province of Ardagan during the excavation found a coffin with a cross on the site of the Foundation of a house, and inside the coffin was the skeleton of a man in old military uniform, probably a Russian General.
