President Petro Poroshenko intends next month to present to the UN General Assembly the idea of introducing a peacekeeping mission in the Donbass.

According to him, during the preliminary telephone negotiations of leaders of States in Normandy format on July 24, he noted the need for the introduction in the Donbass UN peacekeeping mission with the mandate of the UN security Council.
“It’s a guarantee that in the Donbass cease fire, a guarantee that Russia stop supplying militants and withdraw its regular units, take the weapon, which she put down in order to kill Ukrainians”, – said Poroshenko.
The President noted that now the question of the UN peacekeeping mission and a military mission of the OSCE is moving ahead quite hard.
