The abolition of roaming charges with the EU may lead to higher tariffs in Ukraine
Agreement on the abolition of roaming charges with the EU will lead to higher domestic tariffs of Ukraine.
This was stated by the President of Kyivstar Petro Chernyshov during the conference of Yalta economic strategy, writes “European true”.
“Of course, we have a negative attitude to it. Roaming is not a primary, but a significant portion of our revenue. If these revenues disappear, we have to look at the domestic market of compensation of these funds”, – he stressed.
According to Chernysheva, in the near future in Ukraine, the abolition of roaming will not.
“EU countries have agreed on the abolition of the 10 years. So even if we shall now proceed to such negotiations, it will take more than one year”, – said the President of “Kyivstar”.
We will remind, earlier the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko told about the prospects for Ukraine in the issue of the integration of common digital market in the EU. He noted that the establishment of conditions for gradual reduction of roaming charges for mobile calls and data transfer between Ukraine and EU countries.
