Russia will not allow OSCE mission in Crimea Kuchma

Ukraine requires the presence of the monitoring mission of the OSCE in the annexed Crimea, but the Russian side does not allow the observers to work on the Peninsula. This was stated by the representative of Ukraine in the tripartite contact group on settlement of the situation in the Donbas Leonid Kuchma at the summit of Yalta European strategy (YES).

“There is a decision of the OSCE Special mission of the OSCE has the ability to travel throughout Ukraine without any restrictions. We believe that Crimea is our territory, and always put a question: listen, let’s let the OSCE mission. No. And yet,” – said Kuchma, commenting on the question on how to solve the problem of the Crimean liberation of the prisoners and what platform is being discussed, reports UKRINFORM.

Also Kuchma noted that the question of the admission of international observers in Crimea rise continually and strongly, but the Russian side does not respond to calls.

We will note, earlier, Russia reportedly agreed to the deployment of UN peacekeepers on the territory of Donbass, however, has put forward its own conditions regarding the placement. The special representative of the US State Department on Affairs Kurt Volker saidthat Russian conditions for peace in Ukraine will not help.
