The Cabinet of Ministers postponed the promulgation of a new gas price for the population. What this means
The government delayed the publication of prices for gas for the population on the level of import parity in the period from 1 October 2017-31 March 2018. This means that Ukraine still continues to operate the old value (its final figure for domestic consumers – 6957,90 UAH per thousand cubic meters).
A relevant Protocol decision the Cabinet of Ministers adopted on September 26, transfer “Ukrainian news”.
The document was agreed on the proposal of the Ministry. To delay the publication of prices decided to the approval of the new mechanism of its determination with the International monetary Fund and the European energy community.
Thus, from 1 October in Ukraine for the population and heating utilities continues to operate the gas price, set at the level of import parity from April 1, 2017 – 4942 UAH per thousand cubic meters.
Earlier it was reported that according to the methodology of determining the value of gas import parity established by decree No. 187 dated 22 March 2017 from 1 October 2017, the price of gas for the population and CTV would have to grow by 17.6%. This mechanism was agreed with the IMF earlier this year.
Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman said that the increase in the price of gas for the population this fall will not.
