The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the presidential law “On establishment of the Higher anti-corruption court.”

For it voted 265 deputies from 361.

This law regulates the location, territorial jurisdiction and the status of the court. So, the Deputy head of the presidential Administration of Ukraine Oleksiy Filatov recalled that the court will be located in Kyiv.

He added that adoption of law will allow to start the procedure associated with the establishment of the Supreme court anti-corruption and conduct of the contest judges and its court of Appeal.

It is also stipulated that the Cabinet must adopt, within its competence, measures related to the establishment of the Higher anti-corruption court and the state judicial administration of Ukraine – to take measures necessary for the implementation of this law.

The law shall enter into force on the day following the day of its publication.
