According to activists, the President broke the law by appointing Zhebrivskyi.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko sued three community organizations for the appointment of ex-Chairman of the Donetsk SHEEP Pavlo Zhebrivskyi for the post of auditor of NABOO.
Among the plaintiffs – the “Center of counteraction of corruption”, “Transparency International Ukraine” and “Automaidan”, according to the GIC website.
The reason was the lack Zhebrivskyi of experience in law enforcement or judicial authorities abroad or in international organizations, as required by law.

“Illegal appointment to the post of auditor NABOO Zhebrivskyi casts doubt on the entire outcome of the audit. The powers of the auditor can be easily disputed in court, and with it – and the entire conclusion of the audit. Audit NABU could not be a means of dealing with is already hated by many politicians on anti-corruption”, – said the head of the Board of CTC Vitaly Shabunin.
According to the Executive Director of the anti-corruption movement Transparency International Yaroslav Yurchishin, the President took the opportunity to appoint its quota to the Commission a reputable international specialist with experience of auditing law enforcement Agency.
“It’s a shame, but it is his right and his choice. However, we insist that the requirements of the law have been complied with and all members of the Commission meet the defined criteria,” – said yurchishin.
