Representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate on July 22, visited the Ukrainian military who are in captivity in the occupied Lugansk.

This reports the press service of the UOC-MP.

The priests met with three hostages – a Novel Pursuit, Jacob Veremeichik and Yuri Utushka who are in jail on the territory of Lugansk.

The hostages gave the letters from relatives and food packages. Prisoners Ukrainians were able to talk without cameras, noted the UOC-MP.

“We finally got the first opportunity, as it turned out, the Ukrainian side visit of the Ukrainian prisoners of war in Luhansk. Though the conversation was brief, but failed adequately to communicate with the Ukrainian military, who are still in captivity, to feel their mood, to support, to deliver letters and greetings from family and friends, and also managed the three servicemen to transfer large bags with food sets that were purchased on the spot”, – said the Archpriest Vladislav Dihanov.
