The Hungarian authorities continue their assault on Ukraine.
The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine demands from Hungary explanation for anti-Ukrainian statements by Prime Minister Viktor Orban and the government’s decision to create a Ministry responsible for the development of Transcarpathian region.
About it reported in a press-Department service.
“31 July 2018 in the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine was caused by charge d’affaires of Hungary in Ukraine Laszlo PAP. The Hungarian diplomat was expressed a strong protest in connection with a number of unfriendly steps of the official Budapest to Ukraine and noted that actions which negatively affect bilateral relations”, – stated in the message.
As noted, the Hungarian Ambassador presented a note to provide an official explanation of the decision of the Hungarian government to create the post of Commissioner of the Minister, responsible for the development of Transcarpathian region and the development programme of the kindergartens of the Carpathian basin, as to the authority of the Commissioner classified as the part of the sovereign territory of Ukraine.
There was also a rejection of recent statements of the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban regarding European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine, which are significantly discordant with the policy of the European Union and broadly reflect the approaches of the aggressor.
“Despite the constructive approach of the Ukrainian side regarding the solution of the existing problematic issues, recent actions of the Hungarian evidence the choice of confrontation instead of cooperation and direct intervention in the internal Affairs of Ukraine”, – concluded the foreign Ministry of Ukraine.
We will remind, earlier the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban said he does not believe in the reality of the aspirations of Ukraine to join the EU and NATO. He also called “primitive” politics of the European Union towards Russia, which claims that Moscow is a threat. According to Orban, the majority of European countries do not feel the threat from Russia, so they need to develop her bilateral relations.
