Brent oil sharply rose in price, for the first time, breaking the record of the beginning of October 2015.

As writes “Interfax-Ukraine”, the quotes of Brent crude during trading on Monday, October 10, exceeded $ 53 per barrel.

So, December futures for Brent crude on London exchange ICE Futures at 16:40 rose by us $ 1.27 (2,43%) – to $ 53.2 per barrel.

In turn quotations of WTI oil futures for November in electronic trading on the new York Mercantile exchange (NYMEX) rose by $ 1.2 (2,41%) – to $ 51,01 per barrel.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is ready to freeze oil production. In his opinion, the possible reduction of oil production will not disturb the operation of market mechanisms, but on the contrary, will accelerate the rebalancing of the market. Putin refuses to believe the end of the era of oil and gas, saying that the move to alternative energy sources sooner.
