President Petro Poroshenko started the working visit to Kharkiv region.
Saturday, October 15, at 10:48, the plane of the President landed at a military airfield in Chuguev near Kharkov, UNIAN news Agency reports.
At a military airfield Poroshenko took part in the solemn ceremony of transfer to the Armed forces 150 units of military equipment and weapons.
In particular, the President gave the military wheeled vehicles, lightly armored fighting vehicles, tanks, multiple rocket launchers, mortars, helicopters Mi-8 and Mi-24 military transport aircraft An-26 attack aircraft and su-25, su-27, MiG-27.
The President also plans to present state awards and awards to soldiers of anti-terrorist operation on the occasion of the day of defender of Ukraine.
