The national Commission approved the guaranteed standards of service quality for electricity.

Soon the Ukrainians will have the right to require suppliers of electricity compensation for untimely or poor services rendered. “Fines” will vary from 50 to 400 UAH.

Yesterday, October 18, the national Commission exercising the state regulation in energy and utilities, at its meeting adopted the “Procedure for ensuring service quality standards for electricity supply”. This document stipulates that consumers will have the right to demand from the utility’s compensation for substandard services.

Guaranteed standards of service quality for electricity will come into force after registration in the Ministry of justice.

“This is a very important decision that the Commission had adopted before the entry into force of the law on the regulator. Note that because of the need approval and state registration is spent additionally at least 2-3 months. The adoption of the law on the regulator will help to achieve functional independence and timeliness for decision-making, to data consumers”, – said the Chairman Dmitry NKREKU wolf.
