Seven-year-old girl from Ukraine with down syndrome, which was adopted by a family from America, became a star in the United States.
“Voice of America” posted a video with her participation. At the moment, the video of her participation around the world has been viewed over two million times.
In the video the girl named Sofia Sanchos, said that down syndrome is not scary. Sweet girl says: “I’m smart, I’m good. Yes, I have down syndrome. But it’s not terrible.”
When Sofia was 16 months, she was adopted by an American family that already had a child with down syndrome.
“We were able to give our boy a sister who understands it, looks the same and they may pass your way together,” said mother Jennifer Sanchos.
Therefore, this family encourages us to treat them with understanding and participation.
