EU leaders agreed with Poroshenko to maintain sanctions against Russia
Tusk and Juncker reaffirmed the importance of maintaining sanctions until the restoration of territorial integrity of Ukraine.
President Petro Poroshenko has held a meeting with President of the European Council Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

The interlocutors reaffirmed the importance of maintaining sanctions against Russia to restore territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Poroshenko and Tusk coordinated position on the eve of the European Council summit, which will take place on 20-21 October, which will discuss the European Union strategy towards Russia.

Special attention during the meetings was paid to the issue of speeding up the ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU by the Netherlands. During negotiations, Juncker and Tusk assured Poroshenko that they are doing everything to accelerate the introduction of visa-free regime for citizens of Ukraine.
