According to the President, the unique solidarity of the world demonstrates a reason for optimism regarding the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko believes that practical steps for implementing the “road map” implementation of the Minsk agreements will help to restore Ukrainian sovereignty in the occupied Donbass.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this at a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels today.

“For the past year pays a huge price for the fact that the Minsk agreements were violated by Russia, hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers, civilians killed by Russian occupation forces. If we support the “road map” (the implementation of the Minsk agreements), practical action every day, this will give us the opportunity to make progress, to return to Ukrainian sovereignty in the occupied territory,” – said Poroshenko.
“I think the unique solidarity of the EU, us, canadian partners around the world demonstrates another reason for optimism regarding the implementation of the Minsk agreements”, – concluded the President.

Recall, October 19, the leaders of the “Normandy Quartet” (Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia) adopted French and German proposals on the basis of the”road map” implementation of the Minsk agreements.
“The Ukrainian proposal was initially supported by our German and French partners, and today the German and French proposals on the basis of the road map were approved by the “Normandy format” – Poroshenko said at a press conference on the results of negotiations.
