The President also expressed hope that there will be a way to solve the problem of arrears of VAT refunds.

Finally, Ukraine took a step toward the public registration of statements about the return of the amount of budget refund of value added tax.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

“It is very important that will create a single register for VAT. I believe that we can do and it will be a huge achievement for the first time in 25 years – Ukraine will be timely, transparently to pay and reimburse the VAT”, – said the head of state.

He noted that we are talking about the draft laws, prepared for submission to the Verkhovna Rada.

“There will be no double registers, there will be no attempts or steps manually, using political, financial or other motivation to move in this registry of company up or down,” he said.

According to the head of the state, it is proposed that the register and database was conducted by the State fiscal service, as it has all the information and reporting, but the full administration and control over the transparency and order of refund of value added tax from the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

The head of state noted that attempts to abuse the VAT would be the appropriate response of law enforcement. “If someone tries to climb up there traces just stay. And we have in these languages, the General Prosecutor’s office, the security Service, of NABOO, the Specialized Prosecutor will be the guarantors that no one else wants to play on VAT”, – he said.

According to the President, the introduction of a transparent system of VAT refund is not only a tool to improve the quality of tax administration, simplify life for taxpayers, but also a powerful tool to reduce corruption.

The President also expressed hope that there will be a way to solve the problem of arrears of VAT refunds. He noted the positive dynamics of reduction of this debt “even with a very limited budget” from 25 billion to 16 billion UAH.

Recall that in 2015 the value added tax would be reduced from the current 20% to 15%, and plan to return it in automatic mode for all of the amounts confirmed by the system of electronic administration of this tax.

This is stated in the bill on amendments to the Tax code, which is 26 October 2015 in the Verkhovna Rada has registered 114 MPs.
