Churkin accused the UN of failing to cope with the crisis in Aleppo

The commitment of the American side are not fulfilled, – said the Ambassador.

UN cannot cope with the resolution of the humanitarian crisis in Eastern Aleppo.

This was stated by the permanent representative of Russia Vitaly Churkin, writes “Interfax”.

“UN personnel had the necessary pressure on the sponsors of the illegal armed groups in favor of the fact that the militants collaborated with humanitarian”, — he said. Churkin stressed that, despite the termination of flights of aircraft over Aleppo, and failed to make the disengagement of the fighters from the moderate opposition.

“The commitment of the American side are not fulfilled,” — stated the Ambassador.

This Churkin reminded that neither Russia nor the Syrian forces bombed Aleppo for more than seven days.
