President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called a farce the decision of the Supreme court of the Russian Federation on Ukrainian Stanislav Cliche and Mykola Karpyuk, who confirmed the sentence on 20 and 22.5 years in prison, respectively.

“Today, once again repeated the farce in the trial of Russian citizens of Ukraine Mykola Karpyuk and Stanislav Klikom. And this despite the complete absurdity of the allegation and in spite of the serious health condition Stanislaus, which requires urgent medical aid”, – wrote Poroshenko in Facebook.

According to the President, the absurdity of the situation underscores the recent refusal of Russia to give Ukraine Oleg Sentsov and Alexander Kolchenko, allegedly, using their Russian passports.

“And this is after the court recognized both Kolchenko and Sentsov are citizens of Ukraine”, – said Poroshenko.

The Ukrainian head of state instructed the Ministry of foreign Affairs and other relevant agencies to intensify efforts for the speedy release of all citizens of Ukraine and protection of their rights, including by strengthening international pressure on Russia.
