Today, on October 26, detectives of the National anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine together with prosecutors Specialized anti-corruption prosecutors arrested ex-Director of state enterprise “Ukrzaliznychpostach” (currently, the branch of PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”) on suspicion of corruption.
This was reported in the press center of NABOO.
It is noted that the former Director was detained on suspicion of committing a crime under article “Assignment, waste of property or taking to them by abuse of official position in especially large sizes”.
“According to investigators, the former head of a state institution is suspected of the organization in 2015, procurement of hardware products at inflated prices and in collusion with the vendor, resulting in SOE “Ukrzaliznychpostach” suffered damages in excess of 20 million UAH”, – stated in the message.

We will remind that investigation of criminal proceedings on the fact of appropriation of funds of the state enterprise “Ukrzaliznychpostach”, during the procurement of the detectives Bureau began in January 2016.
Recall that in July 2016 the detained officials of PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” and representatives of commercial structures, the benefit of which was public procurement. In the criminal proceedings of six persons it is reported about suspicion, measures of restraint in form of detention, bail, house arrest. Officials removed from their posts. One of the suspects is now wanted.
It should be noted that recently the State fiscal service of Ukraine has finished checking the “Ukrzaliznytsia”, the result of which was established tax evasion of more than UAH 1.5 bn.
“We have recently completed inspection of “Ukrzaliznytsia” and the evasion of taxes of over 1.5 billion UAH, including by conducting sham transactions over UAH 200 million. In addition, we have found and proven in court the evasion of one of the structures of “Ukrzaliznytsya”, it is Ukrzaliznichpostach worth about 350 million UAH”, – reported in the DFS.
