The Prosecutor says that he was pressured to establish control over economic production.
Head of the Department of special investigations of the Prosecutor General Sergei Gorbatyuk told how he was almost selected cases according to Klimenko, Zlochevsky and “Viscum quickly” and suggested that the purpose of the pressure on him is the establishment of control over economic production.
“We can assume that another purpose is the establishment of control over economic production. It is because of them I have from time to time feel the pressure to have me investigated any cases or am I somewhere out there on the job offer to move. All this is linked to economic production, with some regulations on these industries,” he said in an interview with Zerkalo Nedeli.
“When Lutsenko was appointed attorney-General, I immediately handed him the documents about the pressure on me from the previous leadership and the obstacles in the investigation Klimenko. There it was stated that despite the pressure of the previous management, we reported 10 suspicion, and six more are suspicion among prosecutors, and we are ready to continue to investigate the case. But instead to respond or to assist in the investigation, we come to decree the transfer of the case to the jurisdiction of the military Prosecutor’s office,” – said Gorbatyuk.

According to him, the reason for the referral was the Protocol of the meeting, which allegedly in his presence the decision was taken “in connection with the ineffective investigation”.
“But I was at that meeting and did not discuss the matter Klimenko there is generally not considered. I appealed against this Protocol, as false information and asked to cancel the illegal decision, but it changed nothing. I even had not received a reply. Note: withdrawn in almost cases. Obviously, this is done in order to then boast of the results due to the hard work of previous investigators,” – said the Prosecutor.
“Similarly, in June we referred the case against Zlochevsky, and after a month took. The same “towers quickly” in June passed, and in October comes the resolution which we are talking about ineffective investigation and transfer the case, as I understand it, the main military Prosecutor’s office. But this, as far as I know, no one has studied, and consequently did not see that we have made significant progress. Though perhaps this was the reason for the transfer,” – said Gorbatyuk.
We will remind, earlier Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko said that the case against Viktor Yanukovych and his accomplices as part of an organized group can transmit to the court before the end of the year.
Separately Lutsenko commented on the statements of head of the Department of special investigations of the Prosecutor General Sergei Gorbatyuk not ready to pass indictments against Yanukovych, former interior Minister of Ukraine Vitaliy Zakharchenko, ex-head of SBU Alexander Yakimenko and the like.
“I’m going to do, including organizational steps that will lead to the fact that public is challenged with the task of legal method have been solved this year”, – assured the head of the GPU.
