The people’s Deputy Nadezhda Savchenko published an appeal to the elected President of the United States Donald Trump.
Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Hope Savchenko wrote a letter to the newly elected President of the United States Donald Trump with a request to respect the territorial integrity of Ukraine and oppose Russian aggression.
The appeal of the MP posted on his Facebook page on 9 November.

“I appeal to You with request to maintain and even strengthen sanctions against the aggressor country, the Russian Federation, because this country understands only strength and determination, which You do not hold. Asked about the strengthening of international, technical and military support to Ukraine. Also asking for more decisive action by American politicians regarding the release of Ukrainian hostages from Russia, after all, I owe a great debt to society all over the world for my release, so do everything for their return home,” the letter reads.
Savchenko stressed that Ukraine suffers from aggression and reports of torture that survive in the neighboring state of Ukrainian hostages.
“Perhaps not in the world of another nation, as Ukrainian, which would so much attention would be observed for the election of the President of the United States, held on 8 November 2016. After all, Ukraine is now suffering from the aggression of the Russian Federation, has lost part of its territory, and tens of thousands of soldiers, volunteers and civilians on the battlefield with the aggressor. A large number of Ukrainian hostages are now in captivity in the prisons of Russia who are being tortured. The standard of living of Ukrainians fell by almost three times due to damage caused to the economic institutions of the country,” — wrote the MP.
She also congratulated the American people with a choice and asked trump to support Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor:
“I want to congratulate the American people your selection and ask You as the person elected to this high ranking post, to do everything You can to support Ukraine, leaving her alone with the aggressor.”
Recall, the newly elected President of Donald trump congratulated the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Vladimir Grossman.
