Poroshenko handed over to the Parliament for vote a draft law on the protection of the deceived investors of banks

The President urged the parliamentarians to vote a draft document on Tuesday, November 15.

After a meeting with depositors of “Michael” President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko submitted to the Parliament a draft law on the protection of the deceived investors of banks.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Poroshenko said that this draft law “On amendments to the law on the system of guaranteeing the deposits of individuals on compensation to individuals for harm caused by abuses in the banking and financial services” as urgent.

“I appeal to the Parliament with a request on Tuesday to put it to a vote and vote”, – said the President.

The document was developed with the participation of the National Bank of Ukraine of Fund of guaranteeing deposits of physical persons, Ministry of Finance and law enforcement. According to the head of the state, the bill provides for the granting of rights to the Deposit guarantee Fund of individuals after careful consideration of all the circumstances of the conclusion of each specific Deposit transaction and after the development of payment policy to provide refunds.

UNIAN notes that on the website of the Verkhovna Rada yet the President’s bill “On amendments to the law on the system of guaranteeing the deposits of individuals on compensation to individuals for harm caused by abuses in the banking and financial services.”

Note that the Deposit guarantee Fund of individuals ‘ deposits expanded the list of investors, “Michael”, which provides for compensation for “burnt” Deposit, 10626. Additional amount for payments has increased by almost UAH 100 million to 1 billion 327 million. Refund of money to investors resumed on 4 November.

A preliminary register of depositors numbered 46622 face. Of them payment received 19.7 thousand people for a total amount of 1.19 billion (97% of total registry).

The owner of the bankrupt Bank “Michael” owed to creditors 23 billion hryvnia. Investors have repeatedly blocked Khreshchatyk and staged protests.
