Brothers Katsuba took control of 450 million UAH of the Naftogaz – GPU

The Prosecutor General’s office announced the completion of pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings against the former Deputy Chairman of the Board NAK “Naftogaz Ukraine” Alexander Katsuba.

About it reports Department of corporate communications of the company “Naftogaz of Ukraine”.

“The investigation has established that Alexander and Sergey Katsuba in the period from August 2012 to 2013, by abuse of official position, took control of funds of “Naftogaz” for the sum more than 450 million UAH”, – stated in the message.

According to the investigation for the appropriation of funds was used the scheme of fictitious purchases of petroleum products.

According to the results of the investigation, “Naftogaz” will have the right to appeal to the responsible persons demanding the compensation of losses caused.

We will remind, in June the Prosecutor General’s office detained Cacubo in the case of the company “Gas Ukraine 2020” on two counts – a criminal organisation and embezzlement of property through abuse of official position. Katsuba known for gas fraud – carried out the purchase of the controversial “towers Boyko” at a greatly inflated price. In October 2015, the interior Ministry announced in tracing the ex-Deputy head of “Naftogaz” brothers Alexander and Sergey Katsuba who disappeared on 25 and 27 September.
