The people’s Deputy Vadim Novinsky called the initiative of the state office of public Prosecutor about deprivation of immunity a political show. According to the politician, even the consideration of this question at the Committee on rules and organization of work of the Parliament is a show, UNIAN reports.
In response to the presence in the consideration of the General Prosecutor Yuri Lutsenko stressed that the deprivation of Deputy immunity is necessary for the investigation. And this decision, according to the head of the GPU, it will not prevent Novinsky to continue his political activities. “Even the removal of parliamentary immunity gives you the ability to speak, read and write. Even in prison, unable to speak, read and write. Can even recommend a list of books in my time in prison passed on, and I will pass it”, – Lutsenko promised.

As reported, Novinsky suspect in the “Church revolution” — namely, aiding and abetting the President Viktor Yanukovych to the elimination of the throne of Kiev, Metropolitan Volodymyr (Sabodan). According to investigators, Novinsky contributed to the restriction of the freedom of the right hand of Vladimir — his Secretary Alexander drabinko. Witnesses in the case are, in particular, presidents of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk, Leonid Kuchma and Viktor Yushchenko.
However, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate issued an address to the President of Ukraine, which stand up for the people’s Deputy from “Opposition bloc” Vadim Novinsky. The appeal was signed by the Holy Synod and Metropolitan Onuphrius.
