The head of state signed the documents in the presence of representatives of the AUCCRO.
Ukraine needs a single local Orthodox Church. On this the President said Petro Poroshenko during a meeting with representatives of the Council of churches and religious organizations, according to a story TSN.19:30.
Representatives of different faiths, the head of state expressed his gratitude for prayers for peace and support people in difficult times. At the meeting, the President also signed amendments to the Tax code. Religious organizations, according to the document, will no longer pay tax on charity. “Your word, your actions that allow the congregation to keep the unity of Ukraine in difficult times, expensive. One voice Council of churches, all its members speak of the unity of Ukraine, pray for Ukraine”, – said Poroshenko.
As reported, in September this year, the Athos elders visited Ukraine and talked with leaders about the Church’s autocephaly. To the Ukrainian Parliament arrived the fathers of the koutloumousiou monastery.
