People don’t understand architectural decisions and call the building ugly.
On Andreevsky descent in front of the Museum of Bulgakov completed the external renovation of the new premises of the Theater on Podol. The appearance of a black square three-storey building near the old historic outraged the public, according to a story TSN.19:30.
Kiev insist that such horror and ugliness can not be on the street, which is a tourist visiting card of Ukraine. Passers-by admit that from what I have seen they want to cry, and the building called the house-monster, crematorium unit and even a coffin. People say that a square box made of metal can be seen from afar and from different angles and it hurts the eyes, because it does not fit into the ensemble of the old streets. This draws the attention of even foreigners who visit Kiev for the first time. “It is not very suitable to the houses that surround it, to the territory and architecture. I mean, it’s so beautiful here – colors, details, everything breathes with history and culture, and it is not so much. Looks like bad taste,” – says a tourist from Amsterdam.

And adds that the metal in a few years will change color and become gray-green, antique. Just experts, architects, call such projects a complete collapse and failure of urban planning. But despite this, the opening ceremony of the facade will take place on Tuesday. And the theatre will be ready for visitors in April.
