The MP received a gift, the cost of which in 1307,43 times higher than the minimum wage.
The national Agency for prevention of corruption announced that it had completed a review in relation to apartments in the capital of the people’s Deputy Serhiy Leshchenko and found signs of an administrative offense.

According to the press service of the Agency, when buying an apartment total area of 192 sq m and a cost of 7 million 550 thousand UAH in a new building in the historical center of Kiev Sergey Leshchenko received a gift in the form of a discount on the apartment price, which was provided by the developer. As at the date of acquisition of the property by the people’s Deputy of Ukraine, i.e. an entity which is subject to the requirements of articles 23, 24 of the law of Ukraine “On prevention of corruption,” Serhiy Leshchenko received the gift, whose value in 1307,43 times higher than the minimum wage (the total amount of discounts amounted to 1 million 801 thousand UAH 648), said the Agency.
In NACP made the Protocol on the MP for a gift and noted that it is a violation punishable by a fine of 100 to 200 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens with confiscation of a gift.
“NACP also reports that the begun procedure of acquaintance of Sergei Leshchenko with the Protocol on administrative offense. To ensure transparency and avoid political manipulation of people’s deputies were requested to make a video recording, from which he flatly refused”, – stated in the message.
Leshchenko also refused to meet with the administrative Protocol without his lawyer. Therefore, the National Agency invited the Deputy and his counsel to arrive today, December 1, 2016, at any time to the Agency to complete the procedure of familiarization with the Protocol.
