The statement of the lawyer of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych to return the notification of the suspicion of treason is not had nothing to do with the requirements of the legislation.
About this on his page on the social network Facebook announced the press Secretary of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Larisa Sargan.
She noted that Yanukovych is a suspect in the case of treason.

“One of the lawyers of Yanukovych V. F. spread information that the latter allegedly does not have the status of a suspect and the return of notifications on suspicion of Yanukovych the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. The Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine considers the statement and actions of the defender of the suspect Yanukovich, V. F., only as a PR campaign because they have nothing to do with the requirements of criminal procedural legislation”, – she said in a statement.
She recalled that the message on suspicion Yanukovych sent to all his known addresses in Ukraine, it’s possible place of residence in Russia, in Rostov the court and to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation with the request for international legal assistance for the delivery of the fugitive and conduct his interrogation as a suspect.
Also Sargan wrote that during a videoconference Yuriy Lutsenko announced to explain the essence of suspicion, not the text.
“Thus, Yanukovych V. F. with 28.11.2016 is a suspect in the criminal proceedings. Pre-judicial investigation proceeds”, – concluded the press-Lutsenko’s Secretary.
We will remind, on November 28 Yuriy Lutsenko to Svyatoshynsky district court of Kyiv announced that Viktor Yanukovych declared suspect in treason – the content of the suspicion is declared orally, namely, the notice was sent to all known addresses of the former President. On the same day after reading this suspicions the Military Prosecutor presented his lawyer Igor Fedorenko present in court.
