The agreement includes 69 projects in the five Eastern regions of Ukraine.

The European investment Bank (EIB) will provide 200 million euros for the implementation of infrastructure projects in the East of Ukraine.

This was reported in the Ministry of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine.

It is noted that a cooperation Agreement regarding the provision of technical assistance to facilitate the optimal use of the Emergency loan program to restore Ukraine in the amount of EUR 200 million was signed today, December 15.

This loan needs to ensure the timely achievement of the expected results and effectively improving the infrastructure and quality of life of the population affected by the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.

It is noted that the first package of projects for early restoration under this agreement has been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. It includes 69 projects in the five Eastern regions of Ukraine with a total budget of 21.9 million euros.

“Almost half of this amount will go to the restoration of medical institutions, 35% will be allocated to projects in educational institutions, 15% will be spent on housing projects and 3% to other social services”, – stated in the message.

Most of the projects will be implemented in Kharkiv (21 projects, 8.5 million euros), Donetsk (17 projects, EUR 7.1 million) and Luhansk regions (26 projects, EUR 3.1 million).

According to the plan, in 2017 received a new project proposal that will ensure full development of the aforementioned dehsetli loan, added to the Department.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that for the reconstruction of infrastructure destroyed in two and a half years of war-Donbass need at least $ 20 billion.

According to the Chairman of the Donetsk regional military-civil administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi, has already developed a road map for the gradual restoration of the Donbass. In particular, already have plans for 2017.
