In Brussels yesterday there was a meeting of the Commission on Association Ukraine-EU. After the Europeans promised in the near future to solve two key questions. At the beginning of 2017 needs to finalize the ratification of the Association agreement the EU leaders entered into a supplemental agreement with the Netherlands, who suspended that process. Next year the EU plans to abolish visas for Ukrainians. The timing has not yet been named, but say they won’t hesitate.
Meanwhile, yesterday, 19 December, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko by phone discussed with the managing Director of the International monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde, the question of nationalization “PrivatBank” that the IMF supports, as well as the consideration of the bill state budget for 2017. And one of the main issues was the allocation of Ukraine the fourth tranche of the IMF loan. What was agreed is unknown. However, Poroshenko and Lagarde are scheduled to meet in January 2017.
