Biden and Poroshenko coordinated actions in support of Ukraine in the context of the cooperation program with the IMF.
Vice President Joe Biden called courageous and necessary the nationalization of PrivatBank.
About it reports a press-service of the President of Ukraine on the results of telephone conversation of Petro Poroshenko and Joseph Biden.
Vice-President of the United States welcomed the decision of the Ukrainian authorities concerning the nationalization of “PrivatBank”.
“During the conversation it was noted that this bold and necessary step shows the determination and devotion of Ukraine to further implement the necessary reforms. Petro Poroshenko and Joseph Biden and coordinated action to support Ukraine in the context of the cooperation program with the International monetary Fund”, – stated in the message.

In addition, Petro Poroshenko informed Biden about the situation in the Donbass, in particular about Russia’s planned armed attack in the region Svetlodarskoye arc.
Vice-President of the United States condemned the provocations and attempts of the Russian fighters to sharpen a safe situation in the Donbass.
According to the government resolution, the Ministry of Finance is mandated to issue bonds in the amount of up to 116.8 billion for recapitalization of nationalized PrivatBank. With maturity of up to 15 years and interest rate should be set at a level no higher than 10.5% per annum with a subsequent payment on behalf of the state in payment for shares of additional issue.

According to the NBU, their money in PrivatBank save a total of 20 million Ukrainian – is, in fact, half of the country. Among them, more than three million pensioners and half a million students. More than three and a half million workers receive salaries via PrivatBank. In addition, it imeye account 600 thousand enterprises and half a million individuals-entrepreneurs.
