The most common cause of non-combat losses of the Ukrainian military – suicide.
The Ministry of defense of Ukraine reported that from 1 January to 23 December 2016 combat losses of the Ukrainian military were 211 people, while non-combat losses exceeded them, reaching 256 people.
This is stated in the reply of the defense Ministry at the request of the journalist of “the Ukrainian truth” Alexey Bratushka, which he published on his page in Facebook.
In response, the defence States that the most common cause of non-combat losses of the Ukrainian military is suicide. Such cases were reported – 63.
