Sanctions cannot be lifted until the commitments are not met – Hollande.

France does not recognize the annexation of Crimea and the abolition of sanctions against Russia is possible only under condition of strict fulfillment of the Minsk agreements.

This was stated by President françois Hollande, announced on Twitter the Ambassador of Ukraine to France Oleh Shamshur.

“As soon as Francois Hollande made a speech to the diplomatic corps: France does not recognize the annexation of Crimea, the sanctions will be lifted, subject to strict implementation of Minsk,” – wrote Shamshur.

Earlier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande want the extension of sanctions against Russia over the situation in Ukraine.

For his part, Hollande said that if the Minsk agreement will not be implemented, “sanctions will be extended”.

“I, like Merkel, are in favour of extending the sanctions,” – said the French President.
