Russian fighter of “DPR” Callsign “Yakut” was sentenced to eight years in prison – Prosecutor

Citizen of the Russian Federation with the Callsign “Yakut”, which fought on the side of terrorists “DNR”, was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment.

This was reported in the press center of the Prosecutor’s office of Donetsk region.

It is noted that the 50-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation, citizen of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) actively participated in the activities of the terrorist organization “DNR”.

It is established that in April 2015 the man arrived to Ukraine and joined the ranks of terrorists “DNR”, namely to one of the power units of militants battalion “Vostok” for the position of an ordinary arrow and has received the Callsign “Yakut”.

After joining the ranks of the terrorists accused was sent for service in Yasinovataya, which is now occupied by fighters.

We will remind, in September 2015 the man was detained by border guards at the time when he was trying to get to Mariupol. The detention of the latter were dressed in camouflage uniforms, pockets which the police found documents in which the man is asked to dismiss him from the military part of the illegal military formation of the so-called “DNR”. Despite the fact that the Russians of their belonging to any military formations did not recognize, handwriting examination confirmed that the documents were written to them personally.

The decision of the court of the foreign mercenary was found guilty of crimes under articles “Participation in a terrorist organization” and “violating the procedure of entry in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and departure from it” and sentenced to 8 years imprisonment.
