Merkel wants to discuss with Russia cyber attacks and fake news

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that she would like to discuss cyber attacks and fake news from Russia.

She said this on Saturday, February 18, during a security conference in Munich, reports Reuters.

However, it remains questionable whether the problem of fake news successfully resolved before the European elections this year.

“We know that Russia communicates very openly that she sees hybrid warfare as a form of protection,” said Merkel, when asked about the problem of “false” news.

In turn, the journalist Lucian Kim in his Twitter wrote that “insanely Lavrov wrote in a time when Merkel was talking about cyber attacks and fake news.”

Earlier it was reported that in the UK, said about 60 of cyber attacks each month, including attempts from Russia-sponsored hackers.
