Gosgeonedra of Ukraine declares about pressure the Russian company Abramovich

Representatives of the company “Evraz Sukha Balka” (Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region), which belongs to the Russian Evraz holding billionaire Roman Abramovichfor several days picketed the State service of Geology and mineral resources of Ukraine.

They “require extend special permits to mine iron ore outside of the permitting procedure. “Evraz Sukha Balka” has two special permit for extraction of iron ore, the validity of which ended in 2016, but the company continued illegal production. Now, a method of pressure and manipulation the protesters trying to get Gosgeonedra to extend the permits. Gosgeonedra encourages law enforcement agencies to take control of this issue because we are talking about national economic security, because the company is Russian Evraz holding”, – stated in the message Gosgeonedr.

“Evraz Sukha Balka” was in 1996, two special permit for extraction of iron ore, for a period of 20 years. The action of both permits ended in early August 2016.

“As it became known from the materials of law enforcement agencies, despite the fact that the enterprise had special permits from August to today, they continued to work and mine iron ore, than caused damage to the state for millions of hryvnias. This violation, therefore, open criminal proceedings. Now this case involved law enforcement authorities”, – explained in the Gosgeonedr.

In the civil service claimed that “in the last few days the young men of athletic appearance, who were presented by employees of “Evraz Sukha Balka”, hinder the work Gosgeonedr, demanding illegal to extend the validity of special permits for subsoil use. Today we feel a pressure on our work. We regard this rally as manipulation by unknown forces. We have no doubt that the people who tried to picket Gosgeonedra, are representatives of trade unions “Evraz Sukha Balka”.

Service of Geology and mineral resources appealed to the interior Ministry, Napolilli, SBU with a request to respond quickly to the situation.
