Russia must fulfill the obligations regarding the peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donbas – MFA of Ukraine

Three years have passed since the treacherous attack by the States neighbor, who has pledged to respect the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine and, in accordance with the Budapest Memorandum of 1994, was one of the guarantors of security and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

About it informs the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

“Although the Revolution of Dignity clearly confirmed the desire of the Ukrainian people to build European, democratic and prosperous Ukraine, the Kremlin has sought to deny the right of Ukrainians to determine their own future. The Russian Federation is the start of a planned military operation, which later led to the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol, and the bloodshed in the Donbass”, – said the Ukrainian diplomats.

The foreign Ministry reminded that in the Crimea, human rights are violated.

“Russia continues to Stoke the conflict in the Donbass, sends to government-controlled territory of Ukraine by regular troops and mercenaries, provides insurgents and terrorists with modern weapons and military equipment,” – noted the diplomat.

“The aggressive policy of the Russian Federation – it is a threat to world order and world order”, – convinced the Ukrainian foreign Ministry. Ukraine is grateful to all partners for their support and unity.

“Russia must fully honour their own commitments regarding the peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donbass, taken at the signing of the Minsk agreements, to stop immediately the violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms on the temporarily occupied territories, to release Ukrainian hostages and political prisoners, to end the occupation of the Crimean Peninsula”, – calls on the Ukrainian diplomats.
