Two plant Akhmetov in uncontrolled territory of Donbass stop the embargo
Yenakiieve iron and steel works and “Krasnodonugol” in the group “Metinvest” Rinat Akhmetov, located in uncontrolled territory of Donbass, stop production.
This reports the press service of “Metinvest”.
Causes of stop of the plants in the group called the fighting that continues in the region, and the blockade of the railway communication with Pro-Russian militants seized the territory of Ukraine.
“Since the beginning of hostilities in the region yenakiieve steel operates in conditions of irregular supply of iron ore. After protesters blocked the traffic on the stretch Yasinovataya – Skotuvate, import raw materials and export finished products became impossible”, – stated in the message.

currently, yenakiieve plant has been completed in preparation for temporary preservation. Makiivka branch of yenakiieve steel will shut down on February 25.
Also through the blockade stopped production on all mines of the Association “Krasnodonugol”.
Metinvest noted that yenakiieve iron and steel works and “Krasnodonugol” was on the territory controlled by Ukraine and pay all statutory taxes and fees to the state budget.
