Poroshenko has formed a delegation to the Hague for trial on the claim of Ukraine against Russia

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the decree about creation of the Ukrainian delegation for participation in the hearings of the International Court of justice concerning Russia’s violations of the International Convention for the suppression of the financing of terrorism and the International Convention on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination.

About it reported in a press-service of the head of state.

“I headed the Ukrainian delegation, Deputy foreign Minister Olena zerkal,” the statement reads.

Moreover, it is noted that in the delegation included: the Director of the Department of European Union Ministry of foreign Affairs Vsevolod Chentsov, Deputy Prosecutor General Evgeny ENIN, head of the main Department of foreign policy and European integration of the presidential Administration Igor Zhovkva, head of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for human rights, Bogdan Kriklivenko and the chief of staff of the Chairman of the SBU Oleksandr Tkachuk.

Separately noted that hearings will be held from 6 to 9 March in the Hague.

We will remind, in the Hague for occupation of Crimea with Russia recognized international armed conflict. The Prosecutor of the International criminal court, Fatou Bensouda, in its report on the previous investigation of the Ukrainian admitted that the “situation on the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol, equivalent to the international armed conflict between Ukraine and the Russian Federation”.

Immediately after that Russia has refused from participation in the Rome Statute of the International criminal court. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the corresponding decree.

The international criminal court has not justified the hopes assigned to him, said the Russian foreign Ministry regarding the refusal of Moscow from participation in the Rome Statute. “Unfortunately, the Court did not justify the hopes assigned to him and did not do an independent, authoritative body of international justice”, – said Russian diplomats.
