On the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe: Avdeevka will remain without water, if the militants will continue attacks
Avdeevka is on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe as the waters remained in the city for one fix, according to TSN.16:45.
Avdeevka is preparing for independent water supply. The water is brought by tanks, but it is not enough for front-line city. After a week of downtime on the morning of March 3 to finally start the renovation work at the Donetsk filter station, which provides water to Avdeevka, Yasinovataya of Donetsk. The treatment plant has suffered damage due to shelling on 24 February.
Attacks in the vicinity of the Town do not stop for an hour two days in a row. This morning, the militants once again fired at positions of the Ukrainian military, including Avdiivka industrial Park.
“The Area Of Avdeevka. In these lines, fighting again moved in an almost non-stop. The enemy is firing from two main areas – East (Yasinovataya) and South (e.g. Spartacus). The invaders massively used mortars, guns, tanks. The number of issued ammunition in our direction already in the hundreds”, – said the representative of the Ministry of defense on ATO Andrei Lysenko.
Continuous shelling for almost a week do not allow repairmen to get closer to the Donetsk filtering station. It does not work for a week after the firing, when the shells damaged chloroplast, tanks with clean water and production facilities.
Today with the Russian side of the joint center for control of ceasefire finally managed to negotiate a temporary silence, said the head of the Donetsk administration Pavlo zhebrivskyi. Because the treatment plant provides water for settlements on both sides of the front line.
